Saturday sees the return of a fun event for the Stuart area.

Stuart Revitalization Group member Andere Kaldenberg says that the Bonnie and Clyde Fun Run/Walk will be tomorrow, with the five mile race to start in Dexter at 11am, and the one mile race to start in Stuart at 11:30am. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio how the race got started.

“Years ago, Brenda Dudley came to me with an idea of how to promote Stuart with this organization and everything, and she says ‘What about a Bonnie and Clyde Run?’ And I was like, ‘Okay, you know, if it would bring people to Stuart, or to this area, even being Dexter also, I consider that a sister town, that’s just bringing people to our community.’”

For those that didn’t get signed up beforehand, registrations are accepted the day of the race, with a $45 fee for the five mile race, and a $35 fee for the one mile.
