For those in 4-H or FFA, a training course for a mandatory part of showing animals at the Guthrie County or Iowa State Fair is being hosted by the Guthrie County 4-H program tomorrow.
From 10-11am, there will be a Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) training course held at the Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension Office. The YQCA program is an annual education program that focuses on animal well-being. Any youth that are eight to twenty-one years old are required to go through the program to show any animals besides horses, dogs and cats at the county or state fair. For those that are unable to attend the in-person training, they can find the course online at the link in this story online.
