The Dallas Center-Grimes girls golf team will hit the course today for a conference dual.
The Mustangs will head to Woodland Park Golf Course in Newton as they will face off against Indianola and Newton. DCG is coming off a performance where they placed sixth at the Briarwood Invitational. Head Coach John Klaessy says that he feels confident that his team will perform well after already playing the Woodland Park Course earlier this year.
“Learning from the back nine at Newton is has some uniqueness to it. That course management really comes into play and we didn’t talk a ton about it going in but we talked about it more afterwards and I think they’re poised to show a great improvement when they go back there tomorrow and that’ll be good.”
The first tee time is set for 4:15pm. Other sports going on today for Dallas Center-Grimes include the girls track and field team heading to Waukee Northwest, boys tennis team takes on Des Moines Lincoln and the girls soccer team faces off against ADM.
