The Perry School Board met on Monday. 

The Board approved the proposed fiscal year 2024 budget. The Perry School District’s tax rate will be $18.84 which is a reduction of .61 cents from the previous year and it’s the sixth year in a row that tax rate has seen a reduction. Then the Board approved the ETS Performance System which is a physical and psychological training program for student athletes for the cost of $28,000 for three years, Des Moines Area Community College concurrent enrollment policy 2023-24, teacher education clinical experience placements between Perry and Morningside University, choir and a band trip to Memphis and Nashville. Additionally they approved the redemption of general obligation school bonds, Ruth Calhoun scholarship fund transfer and the veterans military service celebration.
