An exterior project is currently going on at Jefferson City Hall.
City Administrator Mike Palmer tells Raccoon Valley Radio the front entryway is being replaced by Tallgrass Land and Stewardship of Waukee. He says while the project is going on, residents and other members of the public are encouraged to use the west entrance to City Hall. Palmer points out the front is completely being re-done to improve accessibility. He talks about where the funding for this $108,905 bid that the City Council approved this past February.
“The City did a bond issue, (I) believe it was maybe 2018, 2019 for some different improvements on City Hall and the surrounding areas. This is the final money out of that.”
Palmer adds the front entryway should be accessible to the public by the start of next week. He appreciates everyone’s patience with this project.
