Friday, April 7th

2:52pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 220 North Chestnut Street. Staff members believed a wanted subject was there and activated the panic button. The subject left before the officer arrived.

4:22pm: Breanna Mahers spoke to an officer about Civil Issues between her and her mother concerning property.

4:44pm: An officer investigated a Rear End Accident on 220th Street, just east of M Ave. A 2016 Ford Fusion, owned and operated by Isaiah Podewils of Glidden, was west bound on 220th. Podewils slowed his vehicle, due to traffic ahead of him. He was struck from the rear by a 2007 Ford Fusion, owned and operated by Hannah Anderson of Carroll. Each vehicle was estimated at $5000.00 damages and towed from the scene. Anderson was cited for, “Fail to Stop in Assured Clear Distance Ahead.”

4:59pm: Tiffany Murphy advised of a subject Trespassing at 713 South Oak Street, and attempting to get into the garage. Her husband was outside arguing with the male. The officer arrived and the subject had left the area. He advised Murphy he was there to repossess a golf cart. Murphy had no idea what he was talking about.

5:05pm: A Bail Bondsmen spoke to an officer about a wanted subject possibly staying in Jefferson. The officer was not familiar with the subject, but advised the PD would watch for the subject.

7:09pm: An officer investigated an accident in the 1100 Block of Westwood Drive. A 2013 Ford F150, owned by Danny Kraft and operated by Kandie Kraft of Grand Junction, was eastbound on Westwood Drive. Kraft advised she had fallen asleep and crossed the centerline. Kraft sideswiped a westbound vehicle. The 2018 Chevrolet K250 was owned and operated by Allen Jacob of Churdan. Each vehicle had a reported $1500.00 in damages. Kraft was cited for, “Fail to Yield Half the roadway when Meeting a Vehicle.”

10:22pm: An officer removed debris from the roadway near 220th and Grimmell Road.

11:51pm: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 600 Block of Rushview Drive for, “Parked Facing Wrong Direction.”

Saturday, April 8th

12:16am: A Bondsmen requested officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane. He believed a wanted subject was inside the casino. The subject was not located inside the casino, or hotel.

1:54am: A subject provided information to an officer concerning subjects selling illegal narcotics at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer is investigating.

2:14am: An officer located an Open Door and secured the business at 300 West McKinley Street.

9:47am: Tickcha Jaimes reported her juvenile son had left the residence without permission. The juvenile returned home a short time later.

12:22am: Johnny Hamilton reported a vehicle unloading large amounts of trash at 902 North Vine Street. The officer met with the subject at the car wash and advised him to pick up the trash, which he did before leaving.

4:24pm: A Traffic Stop near Elm and Lincoln Way resulted in Alberto Rodriquez Vasquez being cited for, “Failure to Have a Valid Driver’s License and Fail to Obey Stop Sign”

5:45pm: Gerald Magee reported damage to his fence at 106 North Oak Street. The officer is investigating.

11:00pm: Jennifer Powers reported a subject caught on video going through their vehicle overnight at 603 South Oak. Nothing was missing, or damaged. The officer will work to identify the subject captured on video.

11:47pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 600 Block of West Adams Street.

Sunday, April 9th

12:43am: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 900 Block of West State Street for, “Parked Facing Wrong Direction.”

2:12am: An officer located an Open Door and secured the building at 600 East Lincoln Way Street.

6:17am: A deputy requested an officer to look out for a vehicle involved in a case in Grand Junction. The vehicle was located in Jefferson.

9:10am: A Traffic Stop near Elm and Adams Streets resulted in Jon Nelson of Ames being cited for, “Operation without Registration and Failure to Have a Valid Driver’s License.”

11:24am: Linda Thede reported a vehicle parked on East Adams Street, too close to her driveway. The officer located the vehicle, which was not violating any ordinances.

12:11pm: A caller advised of Loud Music in the 300 Block of South Wilson Ave. The officer did not hear anything in the area.

12:39pm: A caller advised of Barking Dogs in the 900 Block of South Elm Street. The officer located the residence, and learned the animals were already taken inside.

1:42pm: An officer arrested a female driver on a Traffic Stop near Elm and 220th Street. Candice Marie Ortiz, 35 of Grand Junction, was arrested for, “Driving While Barred – Serious.”

6:54pm: A resident locked themselves out of their residence in the 700 Block of Rushview Drive and requested an officer. The officer could not make entry without causing damage. The subject declined and advised she would call family members for help.

7:22pm: A caller advised of Barking Dogs in the 100 Block of Harding Road. The officer spoke to the animal’s owner and advised of the complaint. The owner advised she would take steps to fix the issue.

9:04pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Reed Streets resulted in Nathan Woodard of Humboldt being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

Monday, April 10th

11:31am: A Traffic Stop in the 700 Block of North Elm resulted in Amy Blum of Des Moines being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

11:46am: A Traffic Stop in the 700 Block of North Elm resulted in Abby Menefee of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

2:12pm: Richard Burkhardt reported subjects yelling at him as he rode his bike.

2:47pm: Logan Scheuermann reported the rear side window was broken out of his vehicle while it was parked near the baseball field at 101 Ram Drive. Nothing was missing from the vehicle, which had sat there a couple days.

2:54pm: A Traffic Stop in the 900 Block of North Grimmell resulted in Paige Billmeier of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

3:05pm: A Traffic Stop in the 900 Block of North Grimmell Resulted in Edward Cullison of Manilla being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

4:10pm: Medicap Pharmacy reported a Stray Dog near 400 North Elm Street. The officer did not locate the reported animal.
