The Dallas Center-Grimes Girls Golf team places 5th at the Newton Cardinal Invite on Thursday.

The Mustangs shot a team score of 218 for a nine hold tournament. Laura Klaessy shot the best team score with a 47 followed by a 52 from Lydia Eligh and a 61 from Mackenzie Towne. Now that their first official meet is out of the way they will head to Ankeny for a meet at Briarwood Golf Course.
