The Stuart Revitalization Group is sponsoring one of its fun annual events next weekend.

On April 15th, the Bonnie and Clyde Fun Run/Walk will return, and for the second year will include a one mile course along with the five mile course. Stuart Revitalization Group member Andrew Kaldenberg tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the five mile run/walk.

“It’s not the easiest course, but it is a fun course. White Pole Road from Dexter to Stuart, it’s a little over five miles, and it starts at the museum in Dexter, The Bonnie and Clyde museum, and finishes up over here at the bank robbery here in Stuart.”

Kaldenberg says that there will be buses to take participants to Dexter, starting at 9:30am and finishing at 10:30am, with the race to start at 11am. Those partaking in the one mile course will follow a route starting and ending at the old First National Bank Bank building, a site of one of Bonnie and Clyde’s robberies. To register for the run, visit one of the links below. If a registration needs to be mailed, it can be mailed to Kaldenberg at the address below. Individuals may also register the day of the race. Those looking to register may want to do so before April 9th, as the registration fee increases afterwards. For registrants for the five mile run, before April 9th it’s $35, and afterwards it’s $45. For registrants for the one mile run, the fee before the deadline is $30, and is $35 afterwards. There will be awards handed out to all age groups for the five mile run.
