The Mary J Barnett Memorial Library has several fun events coming up this month.

The library has returned to having their Friday Story Hour every Friday at 10am. This Friday the library welcomes special guest Dr. Austin Boeckman from Guthrie County Hospital to talk about fitness and health, while next Friday the theme for the Story Hour will be bunnies and include a bunny handprint craft. On April 21st, special guest Dinosaur Ranger Anthony will talk with the children about dinosaurs, with help from the baby Spinosaurus Paleo, while the Story Hour on April 28th will be flower themed.

On Tuesday April 11th, the Between the Covers Book Club will meet to discuss their current read, “American Dirt” by Jeanine Cummins at 3pm, and on April 14th they will host another Family Game Night, after much acclaim from previous game nights. On April 15th from 10:30-11:30am the Library will host a special event, “A Tale of Two Soldiers: Dr. Herbert Neff, Dr. Donald Todd and the 2nd World War,” with Donald Todd Junior as the presenter.

April 20th the Cookbook Club will meet, having their potluck dinner with recipes from the Magnolia Table Cookbook, and host their third Silver Screen Sunday on April 23rd, showing the movie “Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. All events are free to attend, and open to the public.
