Next Thursday the Guthrie County Iowa State Extension and Outreach office will be hosting an event for local cattlemen.

The Extension will host the event at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds Community Building from 11am to 3pm, and include a free meal during the event thanks to event sponsor Select Sires. Those interested in attending are asked to pre-register by April 11th by reaching out to the Guthrie County Extension through one of the methods provided below.

There will be some classroom topics and hands-on activities, including reproductive technologies, genetics of reproduction, ISU estrus synch planner, herd bull care, genetic specimen handling, and nitrogen tank care. Speakers for the event are Select Sires Representative Burke Suckow, ISU Cow-Calf Specialist Randie Culbertson and ISU Beef Specialist Erika Lundy-Woolfolk.
