The Perry Chamber of Commerce will be gearing up for the annual Live Radio Pie Auction this week.
The auction will be held from 8am until 9am on Wednesday over the airwaves of 1310 AM, 99.7 and 94.3 FM or a live video stream available on the Perry Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page. Executive Director Lynsi Pasutti says that they will have Auctioneer Tom Burkgren and Raccoon Valley Radio’s Shawn Kenney auctioning off pies over the radio. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that listeners can bid by calling the radio station’s number or texting.
“It’s best to listen live because that’s going to be in real time. But we will be doing it on Facebook, too, to have that live stream. So live, quote unquote. There’s usually a little bit of a delay there, unfortunately. So if you’re trying to, you know, text or comment, the best thing really is to tune into the radio and just kind of tune in for the fun of it and call in to be a part of it, be on the air, maybe if you want to. So it really is just a fun thing that kind of showcases businesses in town and individuals in town that are all supporting the fireworks drive.”
She says that all the pies have been donated for the auction and all the proceeds will fund their Fourth of July fireworks display. All the numbers to call or text will be listed below.
Tune in to KDLS 99.7 FM or AM 1310 on Wednesday, April 5th, 8-9am to catch the action or watch the livestream on Facebook. Call (515)465-5357 to place your bid on any of the sweet treats that are up for auction or text (515)314-8445 , (515) 981-8634
