Guthrie County Public Health is starting the next phase of a project they started in December.

The Community Health Needs Assessment Survey has been out for people to take for several months now, and Guthrie County Health Services Director Jotham Arber says that the Public Health Department is now compiling the data from those surveys. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they’ve been looking at the data for a few weeks now, and that this week they’ll be out around the county to talk with residents.

“So we’ll be in Guthrie Center, we’ll be in Stuart, we’ll be in Panora, we’ll be in Casey. We’ll come out and we’ll bring that data, and then we’ll ask people where they feel like we should be headed, what are the priorities that we should be focusing on?”

Arber adds that for those unable to get to those meetings in person, there is a link that will be posted on the department’s website and Facebook for residents to use to join the meeting via Microsoft Teams. Links for the Public Health website and Facebook can be found below.
