Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation will have its grant awards ceremony soon.

The 8th annual event will take place on Tuesday, April 4th at Wild Rose Casino and Resort Greene Room Events Center starting with a social time at 6:30pm, followed by the grant ceremony at 7pm.

GGCGC is the non-profit gaming license holder for Wild Rose Casino and they receive their five-percent of funding from the adjusted gross revenue of the casino. Entities that will be receiving grants include the contiguous counties and their community foundations, which is 0.9-percent of the five-percent GGCGC receives. Other groups and organizations that will also receive grant funds include Greene County municipalities, long term commitments from GGCGC, and competitive grants. GGCGC handled grant applications for projects that were over $35,000, while the Greene County Community Foundation recently held its grant ceremony for projects that were $35,000 or less.

April 4th’s event is free and open to the public and the registration deadline is this Thursday by emailing them.
