Iowa Auditor Rob Sand has released the 2022 Fiscal Year Audit Report for the City of Perry which shows an increase in both receipts and disbursements.

According to the report, the City’s receipts for the 2022 fiscal year totaled $25,420,589, which was a 48.6-percent increase over the previous year. Also, the City’s disbursements were $25,041,209, which was a 65.9-percent increase over the previous year.

The report shows that the increase in the receipts was mainly due to sewer revenue bond proceeds received in the current year and the significant increase in disbursements was largely due to an increase in expenditures in the Enterprise Sewer fund for the Water Pollution Control Works improvement.
