The Panorama Panthers have found out their new opponents on the gridiron for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

The Panthers will be Class A District 7. Panorama will play rival AC/GC, the Panthers haven’t beaten the Chargers since 2020. In the last two meetings, AC/GC outscored Panorama, 118-26. The Panthers will play a team that had a similar 2022 season. The Earlham Cardinals finished the 2022 season with a 3-6 record. The same as Panorama’s. The two teams have only played each other four times. The last meeting was in 2011 and Panorama leads the series 3-1.

IKM-Manning will be in the district. They also struggled last year and finished the season 2-7. They haven’t played the Panthers on the gridiron before. Another 2-7 team joining the district is the Riverside Bulldogs. Panorama has played Riverside once before this season. It was in 2007 and the Panthers won, 21-7.

Rounding out the opponents, South Central Calhoun will join the district. The Titans were 4-5 last season after a rebuilding year. South Central Calhoun was 8-2 in 2021. Finally, Southwest Valley will also be joining. Panorama played them twice in the past. In the 2014 and 2015 seasons, the Panthers would win both. Outscoring the Timberwolves by a combined 63-0. Times are different now for Southwest Valley; they were 7-3 last season.

Panorama now knows their district opponents for the next two seasons. The IHSAA will release the official schedule in April. The 2023 season will kick off on Friday August 25th.
