The Iowa High School Athletic Association recently announced preliminary classifications for the 2023 and 2024 football seasons but not much changes for Dallas Center-Grimes.

After adopting a new formula that subtracts 40% of a school district’s free and reduced lunch number from their Basic Educational Data Survey numbers, that has resulted in some teams dropping down a class. Dallas Center-Grimes will remain in Class 4A group #6 that includes Council Bluffs-Thomas Jefferson, Glenwood, Lewis Central, Norwalk and Winterset.
