After inclement weather forced an event to be postponed, the Scranton Community Center will once again provide some weekend entertainment.

There is going to be another round of dodgeball happening next Saturday, March 25th from 6-7:30pm. Organizer Dawn Rudolph says the first time they hosted dodgeball on February 25th there were about 30 participants, with mostly kids and the oldest participant was in their 40s. She talks about why they wanted to have different activities such as dodgeball.

“We’d like to start providing or having some events that kids and people in the community can just come and enjoy at a reasonable cost. It just gets people in our door, see our facility. We’re hoping to have a few more events, kind of recreational events for people to enjoy.”

Admission is once again $3 per participant or spectator and players must be at least in first grade. Anyone who previously filled out a waiver form at the first event doesn’t need to fill one out again. Additionally, pop, water and gatorade will be available for purchase and all proceeds go to the continuing improvement of the community center.
