The Mary J Barnett Memorial Library has been fundraising for some new signage.

Library Director Jerri Hawkins tells Raccoon Valley Radio what the library’s goal is in the end.

“Mary J Barnett Memorial Library and Friends of Guthrie Center Library are raising funds for an outdoor electronic digital sign that will benefit the library. Help advertise our programs, and also help with community events, to promote those.”

Hawkins says that the goal for the sign is $30,000, and that currently about half that goal has been collected. She adds that at the beginning of April, there will be a big event that the Friends of Guthrie Center Library will be hosting to help further the fundraising efforts. Those interested in donating can visit the library at any time while it is open.
