The US House of Representatives have questions about the origin of the COVID-19 virus and they recently voted for a bill to declassify intelligence information on the deadly pandemic.
The 419-0 vote was unanimous and sent to the President’s desk for a signature. Congressman Zach Nunn says that this bill would require the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) to declassify information relating to the creation of COVID-19. Nunn says that the latest US Department Of Energy’s report shows Covid-19 likely started from a lab leak in Wuhan, China and the US Government was potentially funding the research and knew the severity of the virus.
“It’s concerning to me as it looks like the United States government may have been financing some of this research, may have known what was going on and has refused to provide that.”
The White House has not indicated whether President Joe Biden will sign the bill.
