
The Panora City Council will meet in regular session tonight.
The Council will consider for approval a resolution setting a hearing for a resolution setting a public hearing regarding maximum property tax dollars and levy for the fiscal year 2023-24 budget, and a resolution approving a contract with Iowa Economic Development Authority for the Community Development Block Grant program pertaining to upper story housing. They will then discuss water service charges, before the first reading of Ordinance 350, which would suspend the 5% annual tax increase of all water rates until June 15th of 2024.
The Council will discuss and possibly action regarding public works building quotes for next year’s budget and a $5,000 chassis downpayment for the fiscal year 2024 ambulance remount, and consider for approval a resolution approving a revised electric utility inspection and maintenance for Panora Municipal Electric Utility.
