March 10

Tarkpor Zuo, Altoona, was driving in the 25000 block of W Ave when he hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $2500.

Wilson Solorzano, Bayard, was driving in the 14000 block of Highway 141, when he hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $8000.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Ean Broerman, Stuart, was driving west on Sugar Grove Ave in Dallas Center when he turned in front of Quin Renze, Ankeny and caused a collision.  No injuries were reported and damage to Mr. Broerman’s vehicle was estimated at $10000.  It had to be towed from the scene.  Damage to Mr. Renze’s vehicle was estimated at $20000.  Mr. Broerman was issued a citation for Failure To Yield Upon Left Turn.

Kenneth Walker, age 57, 4940 NE 14th St, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Assault While Displaying A Dangerous Weapon, Possession Of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession Of Prescription Drug.

Collin Gregory, age 22, 1355 SW Prairie Trail, Ankeny, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Operating While Under The Influence.

March 11

Elizabeth Hawk, Indianola, was traveling on I80 near the 106 mile marker, when she lost control on the snow and went into the median, coming to rest on the cable barrier.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $5000.  She was able to get the vehicle free and drive from the scene.

Siyu Yang, Minneapolis, was driving on I80 east bound, when he lost control in the snow and and became stuck on the guard wires.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $20000.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Claire Greenslade, Adel, was traveling in the 22000 block of 280th when she lost control in the snow and went into a ditch, striking a tree.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $10000.

March 11

Vincent Payne, Dallas Center, was exiting the interstate in De Soto, when a semi in front of him stopped abruptly, causing him to stop.  Christopher Davis, Des Moines, was behind Mr. Payne and unable to stop, colliding with Mr. Payne’s car.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $5000 to Mr. Davis’ car and $3000 to Mr. Payne’s car.
