The latest IAwrestle Night of Conflict was held Saturday night in Cedar Falls and Greene County was represented by two young wrestlers in third grader Mila Sebolt and Jonathan Thompson, a sixth grader. Both wrestle for Sebolt Wrestling Academy in Jefferson and both were victorious.

Sebolt won a 6-2 decision over Markee Gomez of Indianola. Wrestling 90 second periods, Sebolt led 2-0 after one period, 4-0 at the end of the second, and she built a 6-0 lead before Gomez got on the scoreboard late in the match.

Thompson went against Amir Newman-Winfrey of Des Moines and recorded a 19-4 technical fall with eight seconds left in the second period. Thompson dominated from the start and built a 12-2 lead at the end of the first 90 seconds.

The event was held at Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center and featured 20 matches including matches wrestlers with boys and girls from elementary school age up to high school seniors.
