A Boone man was arrested for several alleged incidents in Jefferson.
According to court documents, the Jefferson Police Department began an investigation on January 26th when Hy-Vee reported an individual had been using checks from a closed account. During the investigation, officers found out 45-year-old Michael Glynn used four checks on January 21st and 22nd for a total of $837.07. The checks were used at the main Hy-Vee store in Jefferson as well as the Fast and Fresh gas station.
Court documents show that Hy-Vee sent a ten-day notice by certified mail to Glynn on or about January 26th and then it was sent back to Hy-Vee after it showed it was unclaimed. The notice wanted Glynn to pay the full amount by February 5th. Among the items that Glynn allegedly purchased were five lottery scratch tickets and prepaid VISA gift cards, among other items.
Glynn was arrested earlier this month and charged with two Class D Felonies for lottery-forgery or theft of ticket and an aggravated misdemeanor for third degree theft. He was booked into the Greene County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
