The Stuart City Council will meet in regular session Monday.

The Council will hear an update from Stuart Rescue Unit Director Sean Bovinett and Assistant Director Luke Dahl, before hearing an update on the Bonnie & Clyde Run from Brenda Dudley, and considering an extension for a nuisance property on the 400 block of North Sherman Street. They will then hear a presentation from Public Works Director Jim Henderson on the sale price for rock and sand, before considering a request from Manheim Auto Auction for an electric fence.

The Council will next go into a public hearing about the 2023-24 proposed city budget, before considering for approval the same item. They will also enter a public hearing on a proposal to enter a loan agreement to borrow an amount that will not exceed $150,000, before considering said loan agreement for approval.

A proposal for The Cup on 2nd to provide concessions for soccer games will also be considered for approval, before a change order for the 2023 Manhole Rehabilitation Project and a request to purchase land are also considered for approval. The Council will then hear an update on a speed cameras agreement for the Stuart Police Department before possible action. There will also be some presentations by City Engineer Forrest Aldrich for the Kwik Star signage and sanitary sewer easement and a White Pole Road grant.

The Council will hear a property and liability insurance renewal presentation from United Risk Services and First Mainstreet Insurance, and Town and Country Insurance, before hearing an update from Stuart Economic Development Coordinator Matt Funk.

There will be a Utilities Board meeting as well Monday night starting at 5pm. The Council meeting will take place in the Council Chambers in City hall starting at 6:30pm. For those unable to attend in person, there is a digital option available below.
