One Jefferson-based business was recently recognized for its dedicated partnership with Greene County ISU Extension.
Home State Bank was the recipient of the state “Friend of 4-H” award at the ISU Extension and Outreach Annual Conference on March 6th. During its 60 year relationship with Greene County Extension, Home State Bank has made an impact on the community by supporting the Greene County Fair and providing 4-H shirts for all youth, sponsoring Ag Coffees and Private Pesticide Applicator Trainings with notepads, pens, water and financial contributions.
Several Home State Bank employees are also 4-H leaders, superintendents, participate in Extension programming, also while helping judge various county fair events, sponsor county fair trophies and work the 4-H food stand, and provide live streaming of several events during the county fair. Greene County Extension points out that Home State Bank donates an estimated $10,000 per year to them with sponsorships.
Home State Bank was also named the Southwest Regional “Friend of 4-H” award as well.
