Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers boys track and field were competing in their first event of the season in the Dickinson Relays in Cedar Falls, and they were able to find some big numbers including a first place finish from one of their relay teams.
The boys 4×200 meter relay team was able to put together a sterling performance, finding a first place finish with a time of 1 minute 33 seconds. The team had Aiden Flora, Brevin Doll, Cade Morse, and Zach Lohmann.
The boys 4×400 meter relay team of Doll, Morse, Chase Grove, and Brayden Rynearson finished 8th and got a time of 3 minutes 38 seconds. Doll was able to finish 5th in the 200 meter dash, grabbing a time of 23.06 seconds.
Other top 30 performances included Lohmann in the 60 meter hurdles finishing 22nd with a time of 9.01 seconds, Grant Engleman 20th with a time of 23.96 seconds in the 200 meter dash, Will Grasty 25th in the boys high jump and Kyler Champan 28th in the same event with a result of 5-08. Tyler Gelhaar finished 25th in the boys long jump with a leap of 19-08, and Drew Hickey finished 26th in the boys shot put with a throw of 44-05.
The Tigers will have another event on Friday when they travel up at Ames as they see more top teams at Iowa State University.
