The Perry basketball team will return a lot of familiar names next winter when the 2023/24 season opens up. One name that won’t be back will be guard Holden Smith. The senior will graduate this spring, and Head Coach David Morris will have a tough time filling the energy and spark that Smith provided this season. Often times asked to play in the post, Smith accepted the challenge of being one of the main transition options for Perry on their fast breaks. He enjoyed the best year of his career, averaging nearly 11 points per game while grabbing 4 rebounds a night.
Holden plans to pursue a career in law enforcement.
