The Greene County Lamb Producers are hosting their annual banquet and auction this weekend.

Dr. Steve Karber with the Lamb Producers says their event takes place on Saturday at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson starting at 6:30pm with a meal. Karber points out the meal will feature leg of lamb, grilled by the Lamb Producers, along with Lidderdale Country Store providing the sides and desserts. 

Following the meal, Karber says a presentation will happen where the 2022 Greene County Fair awardees for lamb categories will be recognized. A live auction will then take place with the various lamb trophies for this year’s county fair and belt buckles, along with baked goods and pies will also be auctioned off. Proceeds will go toward this year’s county fair and other lamb-related events. 

Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased from any Greene County Lamb Producer or at the door.
