Now that the Wildcats are between seasons, we’ll take a look at statistics for this last season. We’ll follow one boy and one girl from the basketball teams, and talk about their stats for the season.
For the boys, junior Braylen Taylor started and played in all 23 games, going 76 of 271 from the field for a field goal percentage of 28%, hitting 57 of 191 shots from behind the arc for a three point percentage of 29.8% and an effective field goal percentage of 38.6%, and went 25 of 34 from the charity stripe for a free throw percentage of 73.5%. Taylor collected 22 offensive rebounds and 60 defensive for a total of 82, 32 assists, 23 steals, 2 blocks, 73 turnovers, an assist to turnover ratio of .44, 42 fouls and 234 points.
For the girls, freshman Zoey Kuhl played in 7 games, shooting 2 of 9 from the field for a field goal percentage of 22.2% and an effective field goal percentage of 22.2%, and collected 3 defensive rebounds, 2 assists, 4 turnovers, an assists to turnover ratio of .5, 1 foul and 4 points.
