Legacy Events
Two more businesses in Jefferson recently received grant funding from an organization.
Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community awarded Legacy Events $5,000 and Good Stuff by Bill and Pauline $2,500 from the Jefferson Wants You Incentive Fund. Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich says Abby and Alex McConnell are the owners of Legacy Events, which is located directly east of the Welcome Center on East Lincoln Way in Jefferson. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio the business will feature event rentals, services and supplies for the community and plans to open by this spring.
Wetrich says Bill and Pauline Allen are the owners of Good Stuff by Bill and Pauline, which is located at 702 East Lincoln Way also in Jefferson. He points out this new business includes collecting antiques, vintage furniture and decor where Bill and Pauline have been buying and selling items in nearby communities, and have now opened their own location.
“I was just in there the other day, a lot of fun, a lot of neat little treasures in there if you will. So if you kind of like that Pickaway America (in Jefferson) similar to that, if that’s kind of your scene, certainly recommend popping in there. (It’s a) very small ‘mom and pop’ feel, which we love here in rural America, it’ll be another good one.”
Wetrich encourages any new business to apply for one-time grant funds with the Jefferson Wants You Incentive to help offset start-up costs. Click here to access the grant application.
