Greene County High School is planning a special event for students to learn about different jobs and there’s still time for businesses to sign up.
Greene County Career Academy Specialist Teresa Green says the Career Planning Fair will take place April 19th for 7th-12th grade students to visit with several companies and learn about what they do. Green points out there will be two sessions and she believes this will be a great opportunity for students.
“I think this is so great for our students to hear from different people and I think it’s great for our students to have exposure. I think sometimes you can get locked in to not maybe checking things out, but I think this will be a great way for our students to go to different sessions and maybe talk to each other. I hope that afterwards we talk in our advisory groups about what did you learn? What was important? Do you think this is something that you would like to do and if so how can we get you there?”
Businesses have until tomorrow to sign up for a booth in the high school commons. Contact Allison Wenck with the high school at wencka@greenecountycsd.net or call the high school at 515-386-2188.
