Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers boys basketball finished their season last week, as they ended up with a 11-12 record on the season, making it to the 3A Substate semifinals before bowing out to Webster City by the score of 57-52.
The Tigers will be losing four seniors from their club, which includes starters Vince Benetti and Bennett Holmberg and key reserves Ryan Conrad and Karson Winter. Benetti was second on the team in scoring and first in rebounding, and Holmberg was able to find a productive season as he played key minutes on both ends of the court. Conrad was terrific this season as a floor general, and was able to play some great defense. Winter battled injuries throughout the year but found some big shots when we was healthy.
ADM will have some key players returning with Adam Bryte putting up 14.3 points per game, and Rhylan Stine-Smith leading the team in assists in 4.5. Brevin Doll was able to grab some big minutes as he usually brought positive results and Grant Rychnovsky played some major minutes off the bench at the post position for the Tigers.
ADM will have a offseason full of team camps and games to find improvement, and with the amount of talent projected back next year along with great talent in the lower levels, it could be a very fun year ahead for the Tigers.
