Dallas Center-Grimes boys postseason basketball will be live on the air as they take the floor in Council Bluffs tonight.
The teams have been narrowed down to four in the Class 4a region 8 bracket and (13-9) Dallas Center-Grimes is still left but will have defeat (15-6) Council Bluffs Lincoln to continue their season. DCG is coming off a quarterfinal win over Des Moines North, 73 to 63 while the Council Bluffs Lincoln Lynx got a week off for being the second seed in the bracket.
DCG Head Basketball Coach Joel Rankin talks about the challenges the Lynx will present in this matchup.
“Their a 4a team with size. I think they really play with intensity and toughness. Were going to really have show up and play with our own sense of urgency and toughness because they really crash the boards hard they start two players that are 6’6 and then have another kid off the bench that is 6’6.”
Council Bluff Lincoln’s Senior Center listed at 6’6 Mathok Mathok and Sophomore Center also measured at 6’6 Creighton Bracker will be players to look out for. Additionally, Dallas Center-Grimes got 26 points out of Junior Forward Calix Cahill and 22 points from their Senior Hudson Elhert against Des Moines North and it will be helpful if they step up tonight.
Raccoon Valley Radio will broadcast this game tonight on KDLS 94.3 FM, 99.7 FM and 1310 AM with pre game coverage at 6:45pm and the ball will be tipped at 7pm.
