6:05am: A deputy investigated a fuel drive off in the 400 block of East Paton Street, Paton. The driver was unaware that the card machine did not work.

6:59am: A deputy investigated a car deer accident on D Avenue near 150th Street. Timothy Cafferty 61 of Rockwell City struck a deer with a 2011 Dodge Caravan. The estimated damage to the vehicle is 4,000 dollars.

10:16am: A deputy assisted with setting transportation for a stranded person on 220th Street and N Avenue.

11:32am: A deputy assisted with a semi that was stranded on the icy road on W Avenue near 315th Street.

2:54pm: A deputy investigated a noise complaint in the 700 block of Harding Street, Churdan.

3:38pm: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a K-9 search of a vehicle in the 100 block of West Washington Street.

3:58pm: Cheyenne Johnson 22 of Melbourne was booked into the jail for driving while barred, identity theft under 1,500 dollars, and forgery.

4:30pm: Cheyenne Johnson 22 of Melbourne was booked into the jail to serve a sentence.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
