The Chargers boys basketball team was in action Friday night, as they hosted the IKM-Manning Wolves in Class 1A Region 7 action. Senior Brock Littler led the team to an early lead, putting up 10 unanswered points, in the first few minutes. The Wolves made a comeback though, and the Chargers went into the second quarter up 24-22. The team outscored the Wolves 17-16 in the second, and went into halftime up 41-38. The third quarter was another close score, as AC/GC outscored IKM-Manning 17-16 again, to go into the fourth up 58-54. The Chargers opened things up in the final quarter though, racking up 20 points and only allowing 10 to win the game 78-64.

The Chargers had five guys score in the double digits, including 15 out of Littler, and drained a combined 14 three pointers, including four from sophomore Jathan South. The Chargers will return to action Tuesday night, against the winner of the game between the Ankeny Christian Eagles and Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders.
