The West Central Valley School Board met in regular session Wednesday night.
The Board heard an update from Superintendent Rusty Shockley, in which he discussed with them about some new hires, a few contract adjustments and a couple of resignations. They also heard from the Little League Board, before approving the Dallas County Hazard Mitigation Plan and a resolution that would redistrict director districts for the Board.
The Board also approved the athletic lighting suggested contract, pending information that would answer some questions that were brought up. They also approved a public hearing pertaining to ground with the Dexter Elementary Building. An individual is selling their house, but in the process found out that some old out buildings actually rest on some ground that belongs to the school. At the hearing the Board will look to decide on whether they will do an easement, or deed the land to the individual.
The Board then moved into closed session pertaining to two items regarding Iowa Code 21.5.
