Dallas Center-Grimes girls basketball had a player break into school history against Pella Friday February 10th.
Senior Forward Emma Miner scored 22 points against the Pella Dutch which puts her at 1,078 career points which surpasses Ashley Wilson, who scored 1,056 points in her career which is fifth in Dallas Center-Grimes school history. Miner is now currently 31 points off of Dani Heritage, who sits in fourth in school history for career points. DCG Girls Head Basketball Coach Adam Jones talked after the game about the accomplishment.
“It’s a great honor. Emma (Miner) is a great basketball player. In the best part, about Emma’s 22 points is they were quiet. It’s tough to score a quiet 22 points since because she’s such a team player.”
Ashton Yossi still remains the top bucket scorer in school history with 1,477 points.
