The Adel City Council met on Tuesday. 

The Council discussed but did not take action on the City’s Late 2019 Hotel Feasibility Study but took action due to concerns about the benefits of adding a hotel. 

The Council then approved to set a public hearing at their next meeting for the Satellite Center LLC North Water Tower Lease Agreement and a public hearing for the fiscal year 2023-24 budget. They approved the Total Maximum Property Tax Dollars for fiscal year 2023-24, preliminary and final plat of the River Run Industrial Park, a grant agreement with the State Historic Preservation Office of Iowa for the Design Guidelines for the Adel Public Square Historic District Project and the Mayor appointed Josh Woodvine to the library board. Finally they approved the tree ordinance to keep residents from planting trees between the street and sidewalk.
