The Guthrie Center City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

The Council will consider for approval a liquor permit for Dollar General, before holding a public hearing on a resolution pertaining to maximum property tax levy, and then consider the resolution following the hearing. They will then discuss the impact of current legislation on the budget processes, hear an update from Main Street Guthrie Center, and discuss budget with the Mary J Barnett Memorial Library Board and Guthrie Center Fire Department.

The Council will then hear a report from Street Superintendent Darin Sloss, and review a bid for repairs at the northwest corner of North 1st Street and State Street, before considering a partial refund for truck parking space rental to Caleb Wulf. City staff will also give a report on debt updates.

The meeting will be at 6:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers. Raccoon Valley Radio will have results from the meeting later in the week.
