The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn and Perry High School Jazz Choirs recently performed at the state festival at Greene County High School on Monday. 

Perry Jazz Choir took 15 students to Jefferson and earned a division two rating for their two songs they rehearsed called “Ain’t Misbehavin,” and “The Girl From Ipanema.” Jazz Choir Coach Jen Nelson tells Raccoon Valley Radio about how thrilled she was with her group. 

“The students have been working really hard and have made a lot of improvements over the course of the season so I was really proud of their performance on Monday.”

Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Choir Jazz took three groups to the Iowa High School Music Association Jazz Choir Festival with ADM 1 & 2 earning division two ratings, and ADM 3 receiving a division 1 rating.
