A reminder that today Greene County and surrounding residents are invited to hear from the local state legislators.

Iowa House District 47 Representative Carter Nordman and District 24 Senator Jesse Green will be at the “Meet Your Legislators” forum at the Welcome Center in Jefferson at 10am. Attendees will hear updates from both lawmakers and will get to submit questions that moderator Rick Morain will ask of the legislators. 

Green is serving his second term in the Iowa Senate and he chairs the local government committee, along with serving on the agriculture, appropriations, and natural resources and environment committees. Nordman is also in his second term in the Iowa House and is the chair of the education appropriations subcommittee, while also serving on the appropriations, commerce, judiciary and local government committees. 

The forum is free and open to the public.
