The Dallas Center-Grimes can end the week on a good note against the Pella Dutch tonight.
On Tuesday, (18-3) Dallas Center-Grimes girls basketball defeated (4-18) Pella Christian 49 to 17 while holding them to 21-percent shooting from the field and Pella Christian did not hit a 3 pointer all night (0-15). Finley Fitzgerald scored 11 and Emma Miner added 10 points in the win. Now the Mustangs will take on the (16-4) Pella Dutch, a team they defeated on the road by 15 points. Dutch Guard Kylie Tauke was a lot to handle in that game scoring 11 points but Emma Miner had one of her best outings of the year scoring 22 points and four steals. Tipoff at 6:15pm in Dallas Center-Grimes Meadows Gymnasium.
Also on Tuesday, Dallas Center-Grimes boys basketball team ended their two game losing streak with a convincing win over Pella Christian 66 to 34. Jonathan Howard led the way in that victory with 19 points. Tonight the Mustangs take on the Pella Dutch who is coming off a 11 point loss to Indianola. Both these teams met in early January in Pella and DCG collected the win 65 to 47. Hudson Ehlert scored 19 points and Calix Cahill attached 14 points.
At halftime of each game there will be a pie auction to benefit the DCG Booster Club. A reminder that both games will be broadcasted live on KDLS-2 which can be found on Raccoonvalleyradio.com.
