The Panorama Panther basketball teams were wrapping the regular season on Monday. They did so in a special game that was played at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

First up were the girls. They were coming off a tough loss against Des Moines Christian. They were looking to rebound against a struggling Ogden team. The Panthers finished the regular season strong. Panorama jumped out in front with a big first quarter 13-3 lead. The defense stepped up big completely shutting out the Bulldog offense. The offense was clicking too and they would have a 35-3 halftime lead. The Panthers would go on to win 49-16. Panorama improved to 19-2 overall and 14-1 in conference.

The boys were trying to bounce back after a blowout loss to Des Moines Christian on Friday. The Panthers were looking to pick up their 10th win of the season. They would be up against an evenly matched Ogden team. Panorama fought hard to the end put couldn’t get the win, losing 60-54.

Both teams will now prepare for the postseason. The girls won’t play again until a home game on February 14th. They’ll play the winner of the West Central Valley-Woodward-Granger game. The boys will play the day before on February 13th against WCV.
