Greene County Medical Center recently joined a group of other healthcare facilities with a prestigious recognition.

GCMC was recently named to the Immunization Action Coalition’s (IAC) Influenza Vaccination Honor Roll. The medical center, along with 18 other facilities in Iowa, received this award because of the requirement for all staff to be vaccinated against influenza and they have also developed serious measures to prevent the transmission of the flu from unvaccinated workers to patients.

CEO Chad Butterfield is proud of the leadership at the medical center for having these safety policies and the staff for stepping up to get vaccinated.

There are 1,298 organizations nationwide who are a part of the honor roll.
