The Dallas Center-Grimes girls basketball team collects a win over a Little Hawkeye opponent to put them closer to an outright conference championship.

The Mustangs would beat the Indianola Indians for the second time this year 42 to 36. A highlight of the night was DCG’s defense holding Emily Naughton, a top scorer in the conference to only 9 points. Also Vanessa Bickford lead the team in scoring with 10 points and Finley Fitzgerald and Emma Miner both had eight points. Sydney Miller added a spark off the bench scoring five straight points off two steals in the first half. With this win the Dallas Center-Grimes girls team will at least share the Little Hawkeye Conference Championship with a two game lead over second place Pella with two conference games left on the schedule.

DCG Lady Mustangs will take on Pella Christian on the road Tuesday to maintain their undefeated conference at (11-0) and will look to improve their (16-3) overall record. The game will be broadcasted live on KDLS-2 which is found on Raccoon Valley Radio.com
