The Ar-We-Va (Westside) and Paton-Churdan Rockets met in a Rolling Valley Activities Conference girl/boy basketball doubleheader on Friday night in Churdan. P-C defeated the JV boys from Ar-We-Va 46-44 behind 19 points from Cayden Stream, 16 for Shaydon Thurman, and 10 from Phoenix Hartman, according to coach Greg Jacobs.

The girls’ game went to AWV by a 63-40 final. Becca Anderson had 21 points for P-C with 15 from Emma Stream. AWV was led by 20 points from Maggie Ragaller. AWV led 26-19 at halftime.

The Paton-Churdan girls and boys hit the road Monday to face Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton.
