Seven Dallas Center-Grimes Girl Wrestlers Qualify For State

Dallas Center-Grimes girls wrestling team gave their best effort with a lot of success at the 2023 IGHSAU Regional at the Iowa Events Center on Friday.

Dallas Center-Grimes as a team scored 180 points which was good enough for third place but seven Mustang wrestlers made the cut and will be traveling to Coralville on February 2nd and 3rd. Ava Gannon qualified for state placing second in the 105 pound class, Josephine Bond made the cut by finishing in fourth place in the 115 pound weight, Asia Jahangir had a stellar season and backed it up with second place  in the 130 pound division, Bella Mulder grabbed second in 135, Mackenzie Sizemore qualified with a fourth place finish in the 155 class, Maya Fritz will go to Coralville with a third place finish in the 170 pound class and finally Halley Beaudet will continue her season with a first place finish in the 190 pound weight class.
