Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig has been traveling the state as part of his 99 County Tour.
Secretary Naig stopped in Adair County Friday, visiting AgHub Midwest in Menlo. He talked with owners Titan and Lauren Immel. He and Titan talked about how the business has changed from the last time he visited, and then Naig asked about things that were issues for the business. Naig also told Raccoon Valley Radio why he was visiting
“I’ve stopped here before. It’s been a couple of years ago when Titan and his team were getting this off the ground. And of course, as I travel past here frequently, I love to watch the expansion. And so really, I’m back now to see what the latest developments are and what the latest investments are. But also, I think, Talking to folks in the ag retail space, it’s important to understand, hey, what are they hearing from their producers, what are the challenges that they see? And certainly we know that supply chain disruptions have been very, very challenging. And so as we head into spring, I’m also curious about how things are looking from AgHub’s perspective and what things we might be able to do as the state to help.”
After hearing on some issues from Titan, Naig talked about what things his office was looking at coming up, and how he himself felt on a few topics.
