The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is looking for individuals who enjoy the outdoors.
The DNR wants these individuals, as well as people who like camping and meeting new people, as volunteers for their campground host program. In the upcoming recreational season, campground hosts will live in state parks from one to five months, and help DNR staff with light maintenance, checking campers in, and being a resource for other visitors.
These campground hosts are provided a free campsite while they’re actively hosting during camping season. These hosts would volunteer 20-40 hours a week, including on weekends and holidays. The DNR is currently looking for campground hosts in 10 state parks, including Springbrook State Park. For those interested in volunteering, just call Springbrook State Park, or the Iowa DNR. Both numbers can be found below.
