The Dallas County Conservation Board will get people intouch with a nocturnal bird.

“Conversations With An Owl,” will allow the public to meet their owl named Strix. Attendees will come face-to-face with Strix during a naturalist-led conversation about the owl species common in Dallas County. The program will include topics such as the owl’s adaptations to nighttime hunting and an introduction to their calls. Finally, there will be an opportunity to go on the Owl Prowl Hike to search for owls. There will be a program at 6pm or 7:30pm on Thursday along with other conversations on February 7th and 9th.

Registration is required for this free program.
